Carbon aramid

Carbon and aramid fibres are classified as fibres with outstanding properties, known as high-performance fibres.

They ensure that snowboards deliver superior performance and a longer service life.

Composites made from these two fibres have balanced properties, with high strength thanks to the carbon and extreme elasticity from the aramid.

Aramid fibre (also known as Kevlar) offers high performance, high strength with a high modulus of elasticity, and low weight.

The term ‘aramid’ is derived from the combination of the words ‘aromatic polyamide’.

Carbon fibres excel in performance, high strength and low weight. The fibre is highly strong with a medium modulus of elasticity.

We refer to carbon and aramid fibres as composites.

The main advantage of composites is weight saving.
